I have wagered on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of money at blackjack. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the game.
I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get rich with this method or beat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 minutes using this technique! And a number of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you witness betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Wager 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $10 wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first forty dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
